DGIST General Scholarship for Currently Employed Students — Master's Scholarship

The General Scholarship is DGIST’s graduate-admission category for people who plan to study while employed by an organization or company. DGIST runs the graduate programs on campus in Daegu, South Korea.

Admission automatically determines the scholarship category, so there is no separate scholarship application. The current second-round application window for spring 2027 closes on September 10, 2026.

Benefits & funding

The applicant or the affiliated organization or company must pay tuition; the amount varies by department and major.
DGIST does not provide a student stipend under this category.
On-campus housing is available to international students at published monthly rates of KRW 220,000 for a single room, KRW 170,000 for a double room, or KRW 290,000 for a married-student apartment; rates may change by academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be planning to study at DGIST while employed by an organization or company.
M.S. and integrated M.S.–Ph.D. applicants submit an undergraduate graduation certificate and transcript; Ph.D. applicants submit undergraduate and graduate certificates and transcripts.
A certificate of employment and a recommendation letter from another person are compulsory for General Scholarship applicants.
Eligible departments span physics and chemistry, computing, engineering, brain sciences, biology, artificial intelligence, biomedical science and engineering, quantum information science, advanced technology, and technology and innovation management.
The official scholarship page states no nationality, residency, age, gender, or work-experience-length restriction.
