IMMpact is run by Villgro, an Indian incubator for social enterprises, together with researchers from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Harvard Business School. Villgro describes it as a large-scale examination of impact management and measurement practices in low-income countries.
It has two stated aims: to identify best practices in impact management, and to build the capacity of small and growing businesses to measure and monitor their own impact. The London School of Economics’ International Growth Centre supports the work, and the Institute for Financial Management and Research runs the survey alongside Villgro.
An enterprise that joins gets training, mentoring and a professionally run impact survey rather than money. Villgro lists the program as running from 2023 onwards and marks applications as closed, with no reopening date published.

- Villgro’s general incubation form asks whether the enterprise is India-based, and asks a for-profit to be registered or planning to register as a Private Limited company, a non-profit as a Society, Trust or Section 25 company. Its country dropdown lists countries worldwide.
