Official Page

La Napoule Art Foundation’s International Artist Residency gives up to ten emerging or established artists four weeks to live and work at Château de La Napoule in southern France. It is an in-person, cross-disciplinary program built around artistic development, intercultural exchange, and daily community with peers.

This recurring program’s Spring 2027 cycle runs from March 2 to March 30 in Mandelieu-La Napoule. Artists receive housing, workspace, meals, and an unspecified stipend, while providing their own equipment and materials.

Benefits & funding

  • Each resident receives a private room with a bathroom, weekly linen service, and access to shared laundry facilities.
  • LNAF provides breakfast and dinner on weekdays; residents can use the kitchens for lunches and weekend meals.
  • Each artist receives studio space suited as closely as possible to stated needs and a stipend whose amount is not published.
  • Artists must supply all of their own equipment and materials, and the application carries a $30 fee.

Eligibility

  • Emerging and established artists in any artistic discipline and of any nationality may apply.
  • Applicants must be older than 18 and able to communicate effectively in English or French.
  • No degree, residency, gender, or professional-experience threshold is stated.
  • Artists may apply once per calendar year; alumni may reapply, although priority may go to artists who have not previously received an LNAF residency.
  • Couples must apply separately, and the historic Château and Villa are not currently accessible to people with mobility disabilities.
