The HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund offers this scholarship to outstanding non-local students from Belt and Road countries not covered by the designated-country branch. Recipients enter the first year of a full-time, publicly funded undergraduate programme in Hong Kong.
The scheme has operated annually under this category since the 2019/20 academic year. Participating institutions manage admission and scholarship enquiries.
Benefits & funding
- Full tuition fees for the normal duration of the undergraduate programme.
- Annual renewal is subject to satisfactory academic performance.
- Living costs and other personal expenses are not stated as covered.
Eligibility
- Be a non-local student entering the first year of a full-time, publicly funded undergraduate programme in Hong Kong.
- Come from a Belt and Road country other than Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia or Kazakhstan, which are covered by the designated-country branch.
- Meet the admission requirements of the chosen participating institution.
- Selection may consider academic excellence, contribution to an institution or society, leadership, communication skills and commitment to the Hong Kong community.
