The International Cultural Service Program is a University of Oregon tuition scholarship for new and continuing international students. Recipients act as cross-cultural ambassadors in the Eugene-Springfield area.
Students share their home cultures through presentations, demonstrations, and campus events while pursuing a UO undergraduate or graduate degree. Awards are renewed annually through completion of one degree when program requirements are met.
Benefits & funding
- A partial tuition waiver covering approximately half of tuition.
- Annual renewal through completion of one UO degree, subject to meeting ICSP requirements.
- Training to present effectively to varied audiences.
- Funding applies to tuition only; the university does not state that living costs are covered.
Eligibility
- Be a new or continuing international student who is admissible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon.
- Undergraduate and graduate students may apply.
- U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and applicants eligible for U.S. federal financial assistance are not eligible.
- Demonstrate sufficient financial resources beyond the scholarship.
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Selection also considers financial need, cultural activity experience, presentation ability, academic strength, and communication skills.
- Commit to 66–80 hours of cultural service each year.

- 3Complete the dashboard Profile and ISSS Scholarships Application.
