King Abdulaziz University International Student Scholarship — Bachelor's Scholarship

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) is a public university in Jeddah, on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, founded in 1967 and one of the kingdom’s largest. It funds non-Saudi students to study on campus at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level, and on its Arabic language diploma.

The university reports more than 1,386 international students currently enrolled: 735 undergraduates, 236 master’s students, 187 doctoral students and 228 Arabic language diploma students. Alongside the award itself, KAU lists housing, health insurance and academic guidance as part of the package.

Applications from abroad are no longer taken on the university’s own scholarship site. KAU now routes applicants to Study in Saudi, the Ministry of Education platform through which every Saudi public university recruits its scholarship students.

Eligibility

Open to non-Saudi nationals of any country, applying from inside or outside the kingdom.
Minimum age 17. Upper limit depends on the level: 25 for bachelor’s study and the Arabic language diploma, 30 for a master’s, 35 for a doctorate.
Meet the same admission standards KAU applies to Saudi applicants for the chosen program.
Hold the qualification below the one applied for: a secondary certificate for bachelor’s study, a bachelor’s degree for a master’s, a master’s degree for a doctorate.
Provide government approval from the home country where that country requires one, plus attested certificates and a security clearance.
Not hold another scholarship from an institution in the kingdom, and not have been dismissed from a Saudi educational institution.
Pass the required medical examination.
Female applicants must have a mahram who meets the residency conditions.

Assemble the documents: passport, academic certificates and transcripts attested by the Saudi embassy or cultural attaché in the home country, and a security clearance.

Open KAU’s external scholarships page and follow its link into the Study in Saudi portal.

Register on the portal, select King Abdulaziz University and the chosen program, and submit within the announced round.

Where no online route is available locally, apply through the Saudi cultural attaché, or through the Saudi embassy in countries without an attaché.

After an award is issued, complete the medical examination and student visa formalities before travelling to Jeddah.
