The Lincoln University International School Leavers Scholarship supports academically strong international school leavers entering their first undergraduate bachelor’s programme at Lincoln University. It was established by the university in 2020.
Recipients study in person at Lincoln University’s campus in Lincoln, New Zealand. The award is credited to the recipient’s tuition-fee account after enrolment is confirmed.
Benefits & funding
- Each scholarship provides a one-time NZ$10,000 credit toward Lincoln University tuition fees.
- Up to 10 awards are normally available, although the International Office may approve additional awards.
- The scholarship applies to the first commencing semester and may be carried forward once to the next available semester if the recipient defers.
- It cannot be held with another scholarship, bursary or award.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be international students under Lincoln University’s student-status rules.
- They must be new to their Lincoln University programme and registered, or planning to register, in an undergraduate bachelor’s programme.
- They must be school leavers from a New Zealand high school or an overseas high school.
- They must not receive another scholarship and must meet all immigration, academic and English-language admission requirements.
- Selection is based on academic merit.

- 2Download and complete the scholarship application form from the official scholarship page.
- 3Prepare a statement of purpose explaining the chosen programme, career goals and how the scholarship would help.
- 4Email the signed form, statement of purpose and offer letter to the Lincoln University International Office before the relevant scholarship deadline.
