Benefits & funding

• Registration and every TBB candidate service are free of charge, and no documents are needed to open a profile.
• Registered candidates get free preparation support: language-proficiency resources, Coursera courses and certificates, CV help and interview practice.
• A successful match ends in paid, employer-sponsored employment in the destination country on that country’s skilled-migration terms.
• Canada runs through the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot: permanent residence with priority processing of up to about six months, plus settlement services on arrival; the government target is 2,000 skilled refugees and their families.
• Australia runs through a skilled-refugee labour agreement covering visa subclasses 186, 494 and 482, which waives skills assessments and minimum work-experience rules, accepts functional English, extends age eligibility to 55, and requires a full-time contract of at least two years at a base salary of AUD 79,423, with some roles able to offer AUD 71,481.
• A principal applicant can usually relocate with a spouse or partner and dependent children; extended family is generally not covered.
• TBB charges nothing, though a visa file can carry third-party costs such as document translation, paid directly to the relevant authority or provider.
• No job, salary or destination is guaranteed. TBB states that only a small share of registrants receive an international offer.

Eligibility

• Open to a refugee, a stateless person, or anyone displaced from their home country and unable to return permanently because they would face danger or human-rights violations there.
• The candidate must not already have access to a lasting solution to that displacement, such as citizenship in another country where human rights are accessible.
• Registration sets no degree, document, age or work-experience threshold; listed occupations run from skilled trades to licensed professions.
• Placement requires functional proficiency in the destination country’s language. English-language roles require at least IELTS 4.0 overall and in every band, or 60–70 on the Duolingo English Test; some visa routes, including Australia’s labour agreement, ask for functional English at IELTS 4.5.
• Each destination country sets its own skilled-immigration criteria, which may include qualifications, work experience, health assessments and police checks. TBB runs an individual eligibility assessment before a match proceeds.
• TBB says it primarily supports displaced candidates based in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan. This is a stated focus rather than a registration bar, and the site tells anyone unsure to register and be assessed.
• Someone who has already secured a qualifying job offer abroad can register and ask TBB for visa and relocation support.

Application process

   Open the free candidate portal and start a Talent Catalog profile.

   Fill in education, employment history, occupation, skills, languages and contact details with as much detail as possible.

   Submit the profile. A profile still showing a “Submit” button is a draft; a “Review” button means registration is complete.

   Nominate the profile for a listed opportunity on the Talent Catalog job board when the requirements fit, or wait for TBB to surface it to an employer.

   Complete the employer’s interviews and role-specific assessment. The employer makes the hiring decision.

   Complete an individual eligibility assessment and the destination country’s visa process with TBB support, then relocate with eligible family members.
